Exquisite Corpse collaboration in traditional collage with ~dancok, he finished the upper half and sent it to me via mail with his part covered (with only left 3 cm seen) and then I finished the lower part. You can see the different style that we combine, always fun doing Exquisite Corpse coz you will never knew the result is gonna be different
The concept is about BOOK, inspired by a song titled "Jangan Bakar Buku" (Dont burn the books) from Jakarta's indie rock band Efek Rumah Kaca :
- About his part : Book is the window of the world, history written in the book, its also write every prestige moments, its a mistery where truth and lie has and will ever be written on its pages, books also could change people's minds who read and learn it. The one eye symbolizing Egypt's God of Sun, Ra, or the all seeing eyes because book is the window of the world..it see everything. The death angel symbolizing that book can also be a start of bloodshed and war, and the astronaut symbolizing the fruit of knowledge that brings human race move above and beyond.
- About my part : History is written in the book, but the book itself is just another history now. Television has become a part of our life, it has both good and bad influence. Our youth now become lazy to read, because of TV programs...from cheap teen soap opera to idolized lipsync singers.

Another great collaboration. I like that red stripe to the right, i think it connects very well with the pieces themselves. I like both parts and how they intervine with each other both in styles and concept. Gotta love that TV head guy and cameras!
P.S : love Richard Hamilton's works, thanks
